This novel displays several themes throughout the reading. One of them, which is absurdity, which means the world of values is never predictable nor controllable. Another one is, revolt, which runs counter to existensialism as it proposes that there is a common good that is more important than one's destiny. Then there's the Outsider, which observes everything, even his own behavior from an outside perspective. These three themes were displayed more in the novel than any other. Reason being is because existensialism ran deep throughout the novel. Even in part two, existensialism was there, because at the very end of the novel, Mersault said "I hope there's cheers of hate." which the theme absurdity comes in because it isn't controllable nor predictable.
